Sadie Elizabeth Sink Bio

Sadie Elizabeth Sink (born April 16, 2002) is an American actor from America. She is most well-known for her character Maxine "Max" Mayfield in Netflix's Stranger Things. She has also appeared in Blue Bloods, and The Americans. Sink has also appeared on Broadway and has credits that include Annie as well as The Audience. In 2009, due to her love of re-creating Disney's High School Musical with her brother, Mitchell, when she was just seven years old, her mother made the decision to send her to acting classes at the community theater in nearby Houston. It resulted in the opportunity to take part in a Broadway audition and a role in the revival of Annie at the age of eleven years old. She had to prepare herself for the role by taking dance lessons and undergoing vocal training. The standby role was initially for the orphans until the lead character left, wherein she began playing the title role for several months before ending the show playing Duffy and as an understudy for Annie. She became close to Woody Harrelson and his daughter Makani as she was shooting The Glass Castle. While she was already vegetarian prior to her time, Harrelson and her family convinced her to go vegan. In 2017, she portrayed Maxine "Max" Mayfield on the Netflix original Stranger Things. She was Chris Delforce's narrator for the 2018 documentary on animal rights Dominion together with Sia, Joaquin Phoenix, Kat von D, and Sia. As a result of her contribution to the documentary she was awarded the 2018 Award of Excellence for Narration by Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.
