Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian singer and actress. Her most well-known roles are in American television series Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She has also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted, and the indie film Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she also co-wrote and directed. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Her father, John Hennessy, was a meat salesman as well as a executive in sales and marketing, a position which required a lot of travel, and resulted in frequent moves for the family. Maxine Hernnessy was Maxine's mother and secretary, passed away in 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother who lived in Kitchener (Ontario) took part in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother and Jacqueline who is a twin. Jacqueline is host and journalist for the Canadian television program. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side, and most Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian, ancestry on her mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School, was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were the first to appear as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, has revealed that she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She was also in 1988's Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 to play Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role ran for three seasons. The show ended after 1996.
