Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston), the national director of Mary Kay and Freddie Wright an
executive pharmacist. Her birthplace was San Diego, California. She started her
career when she was 14 when she began modeling. She has worked both in Paris,
Japan and Paris. After finishing high school she made the decision to become an
actor. She was given a role on the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984) and was
nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards. In the first season the show, she
became a fan of co-star Dane Witherspoon, whom she got married in 1986. She
starred as the princess bride (1987) in the title role. After being let go of
the cast of Santa Barbara, she got the role of the main character in Denial
(1990) alongside Jason Patric. It was during State of Grace (1990) in the year
she became acquainted with Sean Penn. They had daughters Dylan Frances and a
son Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood following a break, and landed one
of her most famous parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was extremely
beautiful and amazing. She was a star in Toys (1992) in which was a comedy
starring Robin Williams. It was an extremely entertaining performance. In 1994,
Wright was in the blockbuster smash Forrest Gump (1994), alongside Tom Hanks.
She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as Jenny.
She got a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995) with Jack Nicholson. After
having rejected 14 roles, she finally got the main role MGM/UA's Moll Flanders
(1996). Pen Densham directed her and Stockard Channing played the role. Then,
she starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997) along with William Hurt.
